Jeff K. lead a group of 14 SAGES in discussing “The Perfect Host” a 2010 movie. Jeff started with a synopsis and review. We discussed David Hyde Pierce (Warwick) as a psychopath, his imaginary guests, the surprise of his being a police lieutenant, various scenes and plots, his lifestyle. We also discussed other characters, their involvements and quirks – including Clayne Crawford (John – bank robber), Megahn Perry (Simone – bank teller), Helen Reddy (Cathy – neighbor) as well as the party guests, convenience store actors and police detectives.

Interesting Engineering (11/10/21) – The World’s Largest Floating Solar Power Farm Is Now Open In Thailand
The farm has seven large panels of photovoltaic cells that have been located at an angle against the platform. This allows sunlight to pass through into the water without affecting the underwater environment. The area of the panel, approximately the same as 70 soccer fields, actually occupies just one percent of the reservoir surface but will help in saving 460,000 cubic meters of water that is lost to evaporation, every year, the press release said.

With Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season two weeks away, coronavirus cases are on the rise again in Illinois, even as health officials push to get vaccines into the arms of young children and other unvaccinated residents and those who now qualify for booster shots.
While that surely is good news, the downward trajectory has leveled off in recent weeks, bouncing between 70,000 and 75,000 new cases a day for nearly three weeks, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. Covid hotspots across the U.S., in the meantime, have shifted away from much of the South.
